Why Do (Many) Gay Men Love Musical Theatre?
Mar 19th, 2006 5:57 PM by Patti LuPone FANatic

Hello all. Some time ago, I posed the same question to Miss Patti LuPone. She responded: "How about you have taste?" Personally, I love the larger than life characters that musical theatre stars show on the stage. I've seen Miss Patti in: "Sweeney Todd" (San Francisco & NYC) and "Regina" (Washington, D.C.), plus in several of her concerts. "Norma Desmond" is one of my favorite musical characters and saw "Sunset Boulevard" in Houston, San Antonio and Austin, with the amazing Miss Pet(u...

re: Will 'Mame' from Kennedy Center in DC tour or come to Broadway?
Mar 19th, 2006 5:43 PM by Patti LuPone FANatic

Hello. What a coincidence! During my trip to NYC, I stopped at the Oscar Wilde Bookstore and bought Richard Tyler Jordan's book: "But Darling, I'm Your Auntie Mame!" I would love Cher to do the role, now that she is not on tour around the world. I loved reading this book. It tells the ins and outs of Auntie Mame: the play, musical and film. from Roman in Austin, Texas...

WEHT Betty Buckley?
Mar 19th, 2006 3:12 PM by Patti LuPone FANatic

Hello, although I DO admire Miss Patti, I've also wondered from time to time that TPTB (the powers that be) on Broadway have seemingly forgotten about Miss Buckley. She still has a lot to offer. In the British Boulevard Forum, I've seen posts here and there that (allegedly) Miss Buckley is quite a handful, personality wise. I wouldn't know about that. But it would be sweet for Miss Buckley...

My NYC Broadway Adventures
Mar 19th, 2006 9:04 AM by Patti LuPone FANatic

Hello Dear Ones: Wow, what a week in NYC!! Actually, it was from March 14-17. In spite of the cold weather, I had a blast here in the Big Apple. The first show I saw was "Sweeney Todd" on March 14th. Luckily, it was only about a four block walk from my hotel, the Washington Jefferson (eh). I took my book: "10086 Sunset Boulevard: From Movie to Musical" by George Perry. I would gather my courage to ask her to autograph a picture in their with her Anthony Powell (As If We Never Said Goodby...

I'd LIke To Introduce Myself...
Mar 4th, 2006 10:00 PM by Patti LuPone FANatic

Hi, my name is Roman. I'm 44 years of age and live in the liberal oasis of Central Texas, known as Austin. I'm a big fan of Patti LuPone. It has been my pleasure to meet her in person several times. First time: November 2000 in Austin, Texas.. It was fantastic. Second time: January 2001 in Dallas, Texas (I took pictures, but the film got ruined.) Third time: (sort of) June 2001 in San Francisco. Actually, outside of the performance hall (where she did "Sweeney"). She was in her limo a...
